Job Offer: Tutors for the winter term
The institute is looking for student tutors for several classes in the winter term 2017/18:
- Introduction to Economics (4 tutorials, each 1 hour/week)
- Macroeconomics (2 tutorials, each 1 hour/week)
- Accounting for students at the School of Technology (4 tutorials, each 1 hour/week)
You may apply for several tutorials. You might also combine tutorials for Macroeconomics and for Accounting. Due to a different funding, you cannot combine Introduction to Economics with the other tutorials.
For each 2 tutorials, you will be paid one additional hour/week for preparation. Therefore, you should only apply for an even number of tutorials. Your remuneration is determined by the regulations of the FAU for student assistants; for student assistants without a bachelor degree, teaching 2 tutorials with one hour for preparation, this is currently 116.10 euros/month.
Prerequisites are good didactic skills to teach the material in the tutorials, and a very good knowledge of the respective subject. For this reason, you should have passed the respective examination or for Accounting a similar examination far above average. Since the classes are taught in German, you must have excellent German language skills.
It is expected that you assist in the supervision of the respective examination or on agreement of another examination in addition to teaching and preparation.
Please note for Introduction to Economics that only students who have not earned a bachelor’s degree in the winter term can be considered.
Please send your application preferably latest on Monday, July 24, 2017 personally or via e-mail (preferred)
- for Introduction to Economics to Dr. Khorkhordina
- for Macroeconomics to Dr. Dees
- for Accounting for Students at the School of Engineering to Dr. Pohl
If you want to combine Macroeconomics and Accounting, please send your application to both contacts and indicate this. Please specify how many tutorials you would like to teach.
The application documents should include a curriculum vitae, an overview of the previous studies (MeinCampus overview) as well as information on previous activities.
Applications after the deadline will be considered if the positions are not filled yet.
